It’s time to experience the connection,
belonging, and hope you long for.

Together. In Community.

There is a great need to come together and awaken our shared humanity during this crisis of disconnection and polarization.

We feel isolated. Overwhelmed. Staring at the divides between us–and within ourselves–that seem too wide and too deep to overcome.

It is time for Freedom – from fear and reactivity that undermine the connection and belonging we long for.

This Community of Support and Practice is a space where you can…

  • Show up fully AS YOU ARE without pressure to “cover” how you are feeling

  • Awaken belonging and hope from being witnessed and validated in your experience

  • Ground yourself through body-centered somatic practices that calm your nervous system, interrupt unconscious reactivity, and build resilience

  • Build and deepen relationships with like-minded leaders that can lead to partnerships, collaborations, and friendships

Be supported to stay connected with your embodied dignity and joy.

Experience hope and possibility from our shared humanity.

When you resource yourself consistently in this way, you can be more present and available in your relationships – in family, communities, teams, and organizations.

A private community of support, learning, and practice.

Open to people who have participated in a “Connect Across Divides” workshop or one of my courses: “Interpersonal Skills and Embodied Leadership” at Haas, and/or the “Foundations Course.”

Partner Practice

  • Bi-weekly practice sessions will provide structure and accountability – and an uplifting experience of building connection and resilience together!

  • Practice sessions will include various individual and interpersonal practices that regulate the nervous system and build resilience: breath work, body-centered somatic practices, singing, listening with empathy (for the benefit of the speaker), checking for understanding, and others.

  • Practice schedule:

    • Second Saturday of each month 9:30-10:30am US Pacific Time.

    • Fourth Monday at 5:30-6:30pm US Pacific Time.

    • Lynne Morrow, Director of the Oakland Symphony Chorus, will join me in leading the Monday practice sessions.

Online community support

  • Stay connected in between Practice sessions.

  • Focus on, track, and celebrate weekly practice intentions.

  • Celebrate your wins!

  • Share challenges and ask for support if you want it.

  • No distraction from news feeds, discussion channels, and members who are not aligned with your goals.

Inspiring stories

  • Learn about different ways people are building an ecosystem of support, connection, and resilience in personal and professional life

  • For example: I recently did a training on listening with empathy for all 60+ employees of a Series C Tech startup. The VP of Hardware is an “Empathy Ambassador” in training and is partnering with me to equip a core group with skills and practices to be support resources for each other and rebuild connections in a virtual work reality.

Thank you: Catherine Soler who came up with the concept of “Empathy Ambassadors” in a conversation we had in 2018. Natalie Osterweil for sending me the article about Google’s “Blue Dot” project that solidified my vision.
