Between stimulus and response there is a space.
In that space is our power to choose our response.
In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

My work helps people expand the S P A C E between stimulus and response.

Drawing on decades of my own personal leadership journey and work with hundreds of leaders, I’ve developed a groundbreaking leadership development methodology for building meaningful connection and collaboration while navigating emotional reactivity and uncertainty in an explicit context of social identity, intersectionality, power dynamics, and individual and collective trauma*.

My approach, Designed for Connection℠, integrates neuroscience, systems thinking, body-centered somatic practices, interpersonal and group dynamics, and community-based practices for building resilience through transforming grief and loss.

*Trauma: Experiences and/or conditions that unconsciously trigger emotional and physiological reactivity to protect from pain or danger. This can have lasting impacts that can undermine relationships, teams, and capacity to collaborate on and accomplish shared goals.

Designed For Connection℠ helps you embody
essential life skills and awareness to transform
how you connect with yourself and others.

What you most needed to learn for creating meaning and fulfillment in life.
But you didn’t.

Designed For Connection℠, provides a step-by-step roadmap that guides you through a clear path of structured frameworks and body-centered somatic practices.

  • Knowledge: Learn key concepts from neuroscience, systems theory, and intersectionality to understand how difference, social identity, and misunderstanding play out in interpersonal and group dynamics.

  • Self-awareness: Become conscious of individual and collective blindspots that undermine your best intentions and efforts to build meaningful connection and collaborate on shared goals in personal and professional life.

  • Practice: Develop concrete skills and behaviors through proven frameworks and body-based somatic practices to build –and repair – trust and connection amidst inevitable uncertainty. misunderstanding, and upheaval.

  • Feedback: Learn how to seek and receive essential information about how you come across to others and whether you are having the impact you desire.

  • Self-Reflection: Engage with structured reflection and writing practice to deepen and solidify your capacity to build trust and connection.

Knowledge alone is not enough!

What determines how grounded and effective you are, is your capacity to interrupt unconscious reactivity and assumptions, especially in conditions of uncertainty, crisis, conflict, and difference.

Designed For Connection℠ provides structure
and guidance for a process of transformation.

Designed For Connection raises awareness of blindspots and biases that unconsciously shape our behavior and reactions and undermine our best intentions and desires to connect with ourselves and each other. A significant blindspot is the culture of hyper-individualism in the U.S. which reinforces isolation, loneliness, imposter syndrome, shame, self-doubt, and other damaging patterns of behavior.
