I help people become leaders who
heal divides and change the world.
One connection at a time.
Hi, I’m Erica.
People are complex. Emotions are messy. Human relationships are hard. Period.
We’re in a crisis of disconnection. Many feel more and more like outsiders, sometimes even to ourselves.
The problem is, we spent more hours being taught how to drive a car than how to navigate the rocky terrain of emotions, relationships, and conflict.
And we—and our world—are suffering for it.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Even in a world of adversity and polarization, we can re-learn how to deeply connect with ourselves, each other, and all of life.
When we do this, we become leaders who awaken hope in our shared humanity and heal relationships – in families, communities, organizations.
I’ve taught
my course,
“Interpersonal Skills and Embodied Leadership”
at
the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business to over 500 MBA students in 20 cohorts.
In four years, it has become one of the most popular of all MBA courses.
I empower leaders to build–and repair–meaningful and emotionally connected relationships…across misunderstandings and conflict from divides of race, gender, social identity, power dynamics, and other dimensions of difference.
“I give credit to the class for helping me remove the cloud of judgement I used to have with people on first impression. I have come to develop a great amount of respect for others and an appreciation of each person’s journey from which I can learn a lot.”
“Erica’s course offered us both the toolkit and container to practice empathetic listening skills and authentic leadership. This is particularly important during this chaotic time when we need to build the emotional capacity to sustain ourselves inside when everything else is falling apart.”
“The class was the most transformative educational experience I have ever had. I experienced inspiration, human connection, and “whole-ness” for the first time. I now have a need and desire to find ways to integrate this into my every day life.”
I teach what you most needed to learn in school and life for navigating emotions and relationships amidst life challenges.

Whether you’re supporting a household, family members, or a team, it’s essential
to acknowledge your own struggle and loss in order to support others with theirs.
The Neuroscience of Disconnection and Connection
I spent three decades transforming shame and self-hate into inspired purpose and meaningful, connected relationships anchored in self-worth.
Drawing on decades of my own personal leadership journey and the approaches that have been most transformative for me, I’ve developed a neuroscience-based methodology for leadership development, Designed For Connection℠. My step-by-step approach has helped hundreds of leaders break free from unconscious reactivity and build meaningful connection – in an explicit context of social identity, power, and intersectionality dynamics.
Leadership Coaching
I partner with social entrepreneurs, influencers, founders, and seniors teams. Through our work you will transform how you connect with yourself and others in a landscape of heightened emotions, complex interpersonal and social dynamics, and individual and collective trauma.
“Erica Peng’s curriculum and coaching are truly life-changing. I marveled that if I had received this kind of training when I was in business school back in the 1980s, my own path to conscious leadership would have been so much more accelerated.”
Live Interactive Zoom Course
Each year leaders I’ve worked with ask how they can share what they’ve learned with others.
I’m excited to offer this interactive zoom course to share what I teach more widely with you!
